A review of Veiled Intentions: Book 2 of The Dragons Blade by Michael R Miller

Well hello how is everyone? I do hope that you are reading something fantasy related, epic, dark? Urban? Whatever it is. I hope that you are enjoying it!

Welcome to my review of "Veiled Intention : Book 2 of the Dragons Blade" By Michael Miller, here is a brief primer for this fantastic novel!

"Rectar has always had his sights set on conquering the human lands. His demonic invasion of the west is gaining momentum – an unrelenting horde unhindered by food or sleep. Now, only the undermanned Splintering Isles lie between the demons and the human kingdom of Brevia. If the islands fall, the rest of Tenalp will soon follow. The Three Races must work together if they are to survive, but they have another problem – Castallan. The traitorous wizard has raised a deadly rebellion and declared himself King of Humans. He believes himself safe in the bowels of his impenetrable Bastion fortress, but Darnuir, now King of Dragons, intends to break those walls at all costs. To face these threats, all dragons, humans and fairies must truly unite; yet old prejudices may undermine Darnuir’s efforts once again. And as the true intentions of all are revealed, so too is a secret that may change the entire world."

I will start by saying that I really enjoyed this novel, not only is it a fantastic continuation of a new favourite series of mine. It is a fast paced, epic story that twists, turns, full of intrigue and excites with almost every page. The story picks up almost immediately after the end of the first book, we pick up with Darnuir, Blaine and Cassandra and their current situations. The Wizard Brackendowns continuing story arc is fantastic and his story of a man wrestling with so many problems is wonderfully written.

The world and it's law is deepening as well, Michael writes a fast paced story but slows it down at some very important sections. This allows for these all important scenes to be done, and boy oh boy are they awesome, The word Michael has created is amazing, beautiful and deep, it is one i cannot wait spend more time in. Michael is creating a brilliant fantasy series if you have not checked out the Reborn King or Veiled Intentions then add this to you TBR immediately, a magnificent world awaits you.

If you have read Michael's work and enjoyed it, please leave a comment so that we can chat about this amazing fantasy series!

As always happy reading!
